Default Installing aftermarket cd player with mach 460

I have done some research and still have a few questions. Will I need anything more than the typical ford wire harness and dash kit you get at bestbuy in order to install this? I've heard that an aftermarket hu might sound like **** because there are six speakers instead of four in the mach 460, any truth to that? I just want to install a simple JVC hd radio, nothing fancy. Any input would be appreciated as always.

I have an 01 gt vert btw.

mach are easy and with a little tuning/tweeking can sound great with a new deck. There are a few different ways of getting it done depending on what you want to get. Page 2 of my cardomain page shows how I did it but you do not need much besides a harness or two.

Mach has 8 speakers.....4 tweets and 4 woofers... Yeah with the correct harness(metra 70-5519).... It should sound decent with the right tune like ttocs said.
