anybody know if this method would work on a 2011 mustang completely stock, or what else would i need to hook up sub and amp?

Thinking the same thing. I mounted my amp ON the back of the speaker cab in another car. Plan on using it for my new stang. Also, you don't need / want a deep cab. The trunk is minimal as it is without a sub. Just remember..... It's a freakin car stereo not a Home Audiophile system. I'm taking it to a pro for the wiring install. The rest of the shaker system doesn't need another amp as it is plenty loud in the treble and mids frequencies. The added sub is much needed though. The combo speakers are a joke! Might want to replace stock speakers in the car. The shaker is the lousiest system I've ever heard. Thanks Ford. The Fusion comes with a Sony system. I do not understand why Ford is building the Mustang with a cheap stereo. The stock system is a total joke and a bad one at that.

anybody know if just splicing into the back speakers is ok, or does more have to be done????
