with the future of speeding tickets going almost completely to photo radar(face it, its only a matter of time) I would NEVER consider another radar with out GPS built in to help avoid these.

+1 to that ... My brother had a Solo S2 and then shortly after I got the 9500ix. Not only was the 9500ix much better at detecting radar and laser, the GPS feature was amazing. Previous posts were saying how the Valentine has the bogey alert so you know there is more than one detection from the same area. The 9500ix uses its GPS to totally lockout false alerts. Once you drive past a spot with automatic doors or something else that sets it off three times that has the same signal and is in the same location, it will block out that false alert. So if you normally drive the same routes or at least take a route a couple of times, you will always know that it is an officer's radar that is setting it off. And the red light camera alert really saves you if you like to step on the gas when the light turns yellow

Like the Passport 9500ix, the GX65 uses GPS to remember the locations of false signals. AS a prior post stated, the more you drive in an area the more information the GX65 remembers and stops giving out false signals. That is one function the Valentine does not have. I received all types of false alarms with the Valentine I that I do not receive with the new GX65.

The reason I went with the Belltronics over the Passport is because of issues I read about the 9500ix screen failures with the blue lights. I would not use a non-GPS detector again, and considering Passport/Belltronics hold the patent on the GPS technology, it is going to be a while until others are able to catch up.

One important point is the radar detector is just a tool, you have to learn how radar is used and the strategies used to detect and verify its accurate use.

I have always really liked the Valentine One, but I do wish it had GPS features. I've see the Valentine pick up cops from ridiculously far away though, saw it go off from approximately 2 miles away over a hill. If that isn't enough warning time you're going entirely too fast

I agree, GPS would be nice, but I'm amazed sometimes how far away the cop actually os when the valentine starts its alerts. You find yourself driving saying, "Where the hell is this guy?" Then, miles later....There he is, and you're like "Holy S....." You get the idea
