I have a v6 base. and I just got a premium head unit, and I see that there is the jack for a sirius antenna, So does that mean I can just plug a sirius antenna into the jack and I will have sat radio or is the a receiver that I need, I figure if the jack is there then it probably has a receiver built in, kinda like the regular radio antenna but I could use some confirmation.

yes, it's built into the radio but if it's not configured to enable the Sirius tuner you might need to have that done. you'll also need an antenna since your car was probably built without one.

you can't use the antenna that SiriusXM sells since all of their newer radios have moved onto the XM high-band and the antennas aren't compatible.

Good news the mod works I Used a premium head unit and a sirius sat antenna T10A and It works great, if anyone wants a factory sat radio for half the price of a kit go out and do this PM for details.
