Well, as many of you already know, the SF3 doesn't have a Bullitt specific tune, and on most people's cars it pings on the 93 octane canned tune. I spent a couple hours working with mine this morning, and have gotten rid of the ping on the 93 octane tune for now.
To eliminate the knock, I had to retard the timing 4 degrees from 0-2000 rpms and 1 degree from 2000-4000rpms. I'm not sure that this is the cause of the pinging from the factory, but it has eliminated it for now. Next week I'm going to get on the dyno with the wideband and check the A/F ratio with the canned 93 tune and make sure it's not leaning out because of the differences between the intakes. Once I get on the dyno, I should be able to adjust it perfectly for a mostly stock Bullitt, while keeping it safe, and just using the user adjustable features in the SF3.
