1965 Mustang wipers
Hello
How do I adjust my wipers? They are currently wiping below the windshield and damaging my paint.
Also, I bought replacement wipers from Year One but they sent me junky all rubber ones. Mine are original chrome. Is it possible to get the rubber part only for my originals ? thanks , Marc

Wipers
Had the same problem with my 67, but its an easy fix provided the wiper assembly works the same way of course. First pop off your wiper blades they should just be held in by clips or pressed on to the actuator at your vent cowl. then just turn your wipers on and try to time it so they stop at the bottom of its rotation. Press your blades back on and your done. It worked on mine but frankly i dont know if there is any difference in the year models. Also you should be able to get the rubber inserts from a mustang specialty shop, ie MustangMania or johnsmustang..... Auto parts stores may be able to order it but thats hit or miss at best.

Any chain auto store should have basic rubber replacement blades available cheap. I know our local Advance Auto has the proper blade only replacements for $5 a pair. They're a bit fiddly to replace the first few times but simple once you get used to it.

You can get them from Mustangs Unlimited in 15 inch. Thats why I had to do.

I went to Advance and all they had was 16 inch refiills. It might have just been they didn't have any in stock though. Just get the Trico classic line of refills with the metal inserts otherwise they won't wipe well at all.
