Installed GT exhaust (pic)
I thought that I would install the exhaust through the rear valance and that went without event. I made a template and used a recipricating air saw to cut the holes. I also had purchased a used Lincoln MIG welder, which I used to weld the coupling to mate the straight chrome tips to the exhaust. I steered away from the trumpet tips after reading that they are restrictive and that the pffft pffft sound is not what I think I would like.
Now, you know when you fix one thing the other parts of the car get jealous so my Holley 4 barrel decided to take dump on the 4th, so rather than rebuild a carb I really didn't like I swapped it for a 600cfm Edelbrock which cured my surging and stalling problem and now makes the car run smoother. Just throw money at it.
