What products would one want to use to clean/detail a classic mustangs engine bay and undercarriage? What products are safe for this? Anyone have pictures of their cars detailed up?

I like simple green too. I have also used their motorsports in the blue bottle. I'm not sure if it works better or not, but I know its safe for certain surfaces like carbon fiber and polished aluminum. By they way, I can't stand carbon fiber. LOL...

I have also used simple green with the pressure washer, and that works good.

For mine, I actually use a rag and car wash soap, but my engine bay stays clean since the restoration.

Thanks. That thread has some great info on it. I thought I read somewhere that Simple Green could actually remove paint if you got it on anything painted, and could be bad if you you got it on aluminum products?

I have never seen simple green remove paint. I guess it might if the paint is about to fall off anyway though. If thats the case then almost any cleaner will probably remove it.

The Motorsports in the blue bottle says it is safe for aluminum. I've never had any real issues with regular simple green and aluminum.

I have used Simple Green on wheels and it seems to work well. For my engine compartment I use Fast orange Galss Cleaner, which leaves no streaks and I also use Mothers Aluminum Cleaner with the Powerball.
