Default Making a manifold purchase - opinions welcome

So I have a 570 holley street avenger on mostly stock 302 w/ original iron cylinder heads, mild cam and a c4 transmission. The current intake was a stock aluminum one from the early 80s something or other pictured below:

RF-e3ZE-9425-F

Since I have an auto trans and dont race I was figuring on getting a low rise intake which means either the Edlebrock Performer or the Weiland Street Warrior 8124P. I have been told I am a bit over carb'd but she runs pretty strong and I get about 13+mpg after the most recent tuning. What do you think?

A) Keep it Holley and go with the Street Warrior
B) Consider a 500cfm Edel carb and Performer intake
C) Skip all the above until I am ready to go to a bigger cam and clyinder heads

If I do A or B should I expect more power/response/MPG?

I like what you have now, look at a new cam and heads

The 83 mustang V8 4brl only had 175hp with a holley 600cfm carb stock. I want to blame the intake...but more likey tuning and emissions. I'd love to do the heads and cam but the work and cost is a lot more than the $200 the intake costs. Do you think there really won't be any noticable gains?

I don't think you will see much from the manifold upgrade. This is very similar to the set-up that came in my '72 Mach1 302. It came with a performer manifold and I bought it a Holley 570 Street Avenger. The results were unimpressive. The 8.5-1 compression ratio is a big limitation, so simply increasing the flow isn't very productive.

If all you want to do is increase your acceleration, changing your rear-end ratio is relatively cheap and easy.

I think the new plan is

AOD, higher stall converter (2400ish), aluminum driveshaft, 3.4 rear gear with an Eaton TrueTrac lsd. I have a 2.79 8inch in the back right now but I want 70mph to be somewhere between 2000-2200 on the highway.

All this will have to wait for the winter as I would lose the car for too long to get this all done.

rpm range is 3500-7500

I rarely see 4k rpms with a c4 auto trans and wont be much different with an aod. Looks like a nice intake though.
