I'll start looking. Found one 500 for 150 that was said to be in good working order so possibly no rebuild. Just seems kinda high.

The edelbrock is only 6 years old, with less than 100 hours of run time on it (yard project). Kinda strange it would go out of wack like this. Sometimes if i blip the trottle it will come back to idle smoothly for a minute or two, so I'm guessing that is the problem. Should I switch the vacuum advance over to the timed port instead of the manifold port perhaps?

I've been contemplating modding my concours 1965 289 4V with an Edelbrock manifold and carb and some headers as well. I would like to help her breath better.

Well it was the wires causing the skipping. No vacuum leaks, and I switched the dizzy over to the timed port. Idling smoothly at 600. Now onto the massive drivetrain slop I've got going on.
