289 Headers

RE: 289 Headers
I havent used them , but I have been checking into them as I am getting ready to put headers on my '68.
From what I understand the tri y will fit, unless your car has power steering , then you will need to purchase a 'drop bracket' to lower the power steering cylinder for better clearance.

I've got the Tri-Ys on my 289. They were on the car when I bought it so I can't really say how hard they were to get in, but they seem to fit in there with no problem. It looks like plenty of room to me. Keep in mind, though, I don't have power steering.

Hookers? The only thing Hookers are good for are polishing your ****.
The tri-y are the best way to go as carrol shelby thought so in the early 60's. I have a set on my 65 and they were good for an extra 35 HP per the spec sheet. The scavenging effect the tyi-y design made for great power in the mid to upper RPM bands.
