What's the best seam sealer? Brand and consistency.
Seam sealer around the corner on my floor pans, misc patches and every other thing on the car. Maybe I'm **** but I am, or have, scraped most, if not all, the seam sealer from the car. The reason I scraped off the old was it seems to have held water in some locations and surface rust is under some. Hence, I have or am removing it. Also, I want the best base I can have for the next steps to follow. I am probably going too far on this as it is not concourse and it will probably outlast my kids! But, I do things this way and, well... [sm=proof.gif] I plan on using rust encapslant and seam sealer. What brand and consistency is best. (Brush on or caulk gun tube type). Suppliers would be good to know too.

yep i have to say it also but 3-m is by far the best just dont use thinner to smooth it down, it will cause it not fully cure out and will remain tacky

Thanks. My first guess was 3-M brushable. I went to the parts store and they had like 5 kinds so I got overwhelmed for a momment. Gut instict still prevail! Thanks again.
