Default toploader swap

Hey, question for all of you. I am swapping over to a toploader from a C4 and need to get all the appropriate parts. I am also swapping in a new motor at the same time. Should I be getting a clutch/flywheel/etc. for the year of the engine (1989 351W) or the year of the toploader (1966 4spd HEH-BW)?? This is all going into a '69.

Thanks.

Youll need the flywheel to match the motor, and clutch to match the trans.

Check this out

Gives a general idea of what you will need. One word of caution though, the z bar mounts to a bracket that is on the frame rail and a stud that is screwed into the back of the block. However, LATE MODE BLOCKS DO NOT HAVE THE PROVISION FOR THIS STUD. Your only solution may be a hydraulic clutch. Someone here may be able to provide another alternative though.
Good luck.

I'll have the block checked out before I actually purchase it. Thanks!

you can get an adaptor for the z bar for the newer blocks it just bolts on to the bellhousing. All of the mustang vendors sell them between $40 and $70.
