Default New to the forum...

I have been observing the forum for a few months now and decided to join so I can ask a few questions.

I have a 65 289 2v coupe that had a mid seventies 302 installed. My car was in storage since 1978 (5 years longer then I have been alive). The car seems to be straight and there are some surface rust issues and I need at least new quarters and fenders. It was garage kept until the mid eighties until it was put under a shed in a field in southern arkansas. The car was a freebie from my wife's uncle and my whole family wants to see it return to glory.

The brake fluid turned to powder, and I will most likely go ssbc on all four wheels.

I plan on upgrading the suspension soon and should also have the motor running pretty quickly.

Here are some pics.

I was actually pretty pleased in its condition considering it hasen't ran since 78. I've been getting busy tearing down the engine.

Woot! Another V8!

It saddens me that folks just put the old Pony in a friggin lean-to and forget about it. The beast has been asleep for a while now. Take your time waking her up. She'll appreciate it

I towed from arkansas to my in laws house in Paris texas and then to houston at a later date.

On the trip from arkansas to paris I had the feeling she was looking at me and wondering why she had been mistreated for so long.
