Default I Made It !!

In case anybody was interested.....My great adventurous drive from Detroit to Washington D.C. was a great successs! 1410 miles in 4 days (a lot of driving around while I was there) and only one small glitch. Power steering return line worked loose but that was an easy fix. It appears as though all the hardwork and effort paid off as the old Gal ran like a champ. I even averaged 21 mpg while crusing about 65 to 70 mph. The only problem was coming home yesterday in torrential thunderstorms. I found that there is nothing you can do once the windows start to fog except pull over. It was raining so hard I couldn't even run with my vent windows open without filling the car with water. Oh well, life is supposed to be an adventure and mine was a great one....just thought I would bring you up to date

Congratulations!

You realize that you kind of cheated though. Everyone knows Convertibles are the best of all the Mustangs. If you had driven a fastback or coupe it might have been a bit more of a challenge.
Just kidding around.
That trip is a testiment to your abilities. Excellent job!

rmodel65 is right. The aftermarket "perfect fit" kits provide dehumidified air to the defrosters, and do an excellent job of keeping the windshield from fogging up. A/C off the floor also does an excellent job of keeping you cool when the sun is bearing down on you.
