Can this spark plug wire be saved ?

RE: Can this spark plug wire be saved ?
I had the same thing happen yesterday while I was trying to remove my headers. I thought I had a good grip on the boot but I didn't. Out came the wire with no boot or terminal attached.
The center wire wasn't damaged so I used a pair of needle nose pliers and opened up the end a bit. I then slid the boot back over the wire and crimped the connector back on to the cable with the wire folder over the cable.

I never buy the ones that are made to fit. I always get the ones you have to do yourself. The made-to-fit ones always seem to have a couple that are too short or too long. I used the the wire holder thingys and the wires need to be longer to make the holders work.

Def is sayin what I do.. resistance is the same even if I crimp the wires. Some sets dont come cut and crimped, you do that so it fits your engine. Mine has MSD wires... well the race machine does.. The rest get cheapie wally werld ones. Just make sure you have less than 18 ohms resistance in them when you put them on.. Over 18 ohms and its chuck em in the dumpster.

i bought some .01 resistance wires. I guess they are good then???? lol, im kidding. It should be just fine to recrimp it, as long as it's nice and tight. just like someone else said. If the wire is still showing, fold it over the side of the wire, then slide on the end, and crimp it. Make sure the wire and metal are getting a good connection.

just pry the metal piece open, put the wire back in it and squeze it with some pliers and put in on your plug. in my earlier years i did that everytime i changed wires. you do know, that years ago you used to have to put the ends on some wires anyway!
