Default Vacuum

1966 200 6 cyl I swaped the manual 3-speed for an automatic, now it runs rough and is hard to start. How are the vacuum lines soposed to be hooked up? Or are there photos or diagrams of the cruise-a-matics that were avalible in 1966 for this engin type?

Like most questioners you don't supply enough info for a good answer. So a couple of generalities

There should be a vacumn line between the carb and the distributor.

If you have A/C there should be a line from a fitting on the intake manifold to the A/C can.

If you have power Brakes there should be a large line from the manifold to the booster.

Off hand I can't think of any other vacumn devices on that car. Therefore every other outlet on the manifold should be plugged except for the PVC.

If there is a vacumn line open it should be obvious by a loud suction noise.

Nope no ac or power brakes on this basic model. Yes there is a line from the carb to the distributor, but when I switched to the C4 auto trans there are lines that need to go somewhere???
