I'm pretty sure that there is an ammendment to the Constitution granting us the right to listen to Rock and Roll, even if there is a loose nut behind the wheel.

(I'll ask my mechanic tomorrow if it's valve or exhaust -- my mindset was on goat, not pony at that point)

PS: Yeah, what I do would shock Soaring down to his toes ... but then he'd be dead!

Woo hoo! I figured it out!!!!
You're a professional musician. Normally Soaring would be excited. Especially when he found out you play Tuba.
The shocking news is your genre is Hip-Hop!
Hmmm, Hip-Hop Tuba...sounds like an umbrella drink in the Caribean.
So do I win da big prize?

Damn, you're good -- you must have a PI license.
My cover is blown. Hip hop tuba player part-time and part-time polka tuba player as well.

A final note on the steering wheel. Goat boy had me bring in my original wheel so he could compare the housing, hardware, etc, since he's since fixed it 3 times and it's still not right. The wheel was a bit tight but turning to the right the wheel would get stuck in one spot.
Today he took both apart, studied them carefully, and said there was a piece of metal sticking out and he may have to file it down as it was the problem. But he kept checking it, turning it this way and that way, fiddling with it, and then said he had an idea.
Came back 2 minutes later, put the wheel on and it was a perfect fit. (Previously it was only using 2 of the 4 threads, remember?). Turned like it was brand new. Held on by all 4 threads.
What was the problem? The MORON who installed it last year (before the restoration) put on the metal insert backwards, so it wasn't sitting inside but instead the metal holders were facing outward. It's a miracle it went 2k miles without coming off before this.
(Yes, he was a moron - took my car to him twice and the 2nd time I went to pick up my car at 10 am on a Saturday he had beer breath. He also installed some things but never tested them to be sure they worked -- it's why I never went back)
