new head light switch

RE: new head light switch
i don't know about 67, but on my 1964 theres a little hole for allen key on the side where you usually don't see (on ****, side facing floor).
if you're replacing the electrical part of the switcvh (the socket), then there's no need to take it out anyway.
I found on the 641/2 that it's much easier to disconnect the speedometer and pull out the gaugecluster. good time to clean that and cabling as well.
If you have trouble like full light works, but headlight doesn't (or the other way round), then please check post:

RE: new head light switch
I read you have to pull the switch all the way out, and theres a small white button that needs to be depressed and the **** pulls out then you have to fit a screw driver in there and twist it counter clockwise...I dunno if this works or not cause I still havent gotten mine out. Lemme know how you did it if you get it out

RE: new head light switch
Pull the **** out to where its in the on position, then reach your hand around to where you can feel the body of the switch, then push in the button on the side and pull the **** the rest of the way out. From there you can remove the main bolt holding it in with a large philips head screw driver. I've burned through 4 head light switches in my 67 coupe in the two years I've had it. So dont get your new switch from AutoZone.
