I don't buy Mustang parts or cars off of Ebay, but the advertisement is intriguing. For only 85 bux shipping and less than 400 bux for the tranny it is obviously a good monetary deal if what he says about the upgrades/overhauling is true.

Here are the specs
169 Factory 86.5-89 Mustang 5.0 rated for 265 lbs/ft torque. Gear ratios: 3.35 1.93 1.29 1.00 0.68 reverse = 3.15. Number of teeth on the speedo drive gear=7 Input shaft length 7.18" input shaft diameter at pilot bearing= 0.668"
Unless you are a ham fisted/footed driver, this should be good up to 300HP. He is including the steel retainer which is very important, and has gone through the internals. If it is as he says, and goes for less than $450.00, I'd consider it a good deal depending upon application.
Here is the application I would consider using it with: Daily driver/weekend cruiser. Very rarely to see a track of any kind. 3.25-3.55 gears. Engine built for low to mid range power. Carb or EFI, 300HP/Torque or less. Looking for a great driver with good gas mileage.
My $0.02
This is a wide ratio T5, best suited to limited horse power, and little track time. Absolutely great with 3.25 to 3.55 gears and a motor built with max torque coming in around 3,200 rpm, and a fairly flat line raising steeply from 1,000rpm. This is a great daily driver transmission.
I would want to know, how the shift forks were checked, how the bearings fit in the housing, and also get some feed back from other customers. Also what is the exchange policy. If all that fits and looked good, it may be a good deal.
I paid $65.00 freight from a southern state to California (over a year ago), so the freight does not seem out of line in my opinion.
fleabay is turning into a place where people dump their trash. I would look closely at feed back. Also this guy is not a rebuilder, so I'd be looking to see the receipts for the rebuild and would want to contact the company that did the work in regards to any kind of warranty.
Good luck!,

IMO,
Modern driveline has the best cross member out there. It's strong, fits perfect, and is really tight to the transmission, allowing excellent room for the exhaust.
I bought everything except the transmission, driveshaft and speedo cable from them. Great service, good prices.
Some vendor has a complete manual trans pedal assembly w/bearings all ready installed. If you can pick that up, I think you'd be real happy.
Also, you might consider a hydraulic clutch. If you've got the bucks you can buy the complete kit. If you've got the skills, you can build one for less than 1/2 the cost. Either way, hydraulic is the best way to go, especially if you have headers.
Watch your driveline angle in comparison to your pinion shaft angle. Make sure you don't end up more than 1/4 degree off. You can get shims if you need them in 1 degree increments from any 4 wheel drive shop.
Lastly, remember the WC T5 uses Dexron II (or III). Not standard gear lube.
Good luck with your swap. Nothing like hammering through the gears!
