Default cubic inches

My 302 is bored 40 thousands over. I know that is the most you'de ever want to safely go with a SBF. If it is in fact 40 over, what would my cubic inch displacement be?

simple math to figure displacement in cubic inches.

bore x bore x stroke x .7854 x number of cylinders.

so that would be

4.04 x 4.04 x 3.0 x .7854 x 8 = 307.65ci.

Now you can figure it on your own.. Use calculator in the accessories folder under the start menu..

I have heard 60 over max. However, at that point you may have cooling issues. I personally wouldn't go over .30 to be on the safe side and to allow another bore if neccessary later.

Probably just those new compression rings that makes the difference.
