Default A big change, maybe

Well, I have been banging my head and staying up all hours of the night doing research on aluminum heads. Picking an aluminum head is not as easy as one thinks. You must know what pistons you have, cam specs, etc. Then you have to decide what you are going to do with the car, dailey driver, street strip, or just strip. Now that I know what I need, I may have a change of heart. CUBIC INCHES BABY! I found a guy on craigslist that has 4 or 5 351W long blocks for $500ea. He stated in the add that Tacoma Auto Machine built them. Never heard of the name myself. Anyway, I e-mailed the guy but have not heard back yet. I can easily put a stroker kit in one of those blocks and then buy the bigger valve aluminum heads. With my top loader that I will be putting in this spring it will be a hot setup. Even if I left the long block alone and put on a nice set of heads and a healthy cam it should scream. Just a thought.

Dyno simulation software is a great investment when planning an engine build. Don't chance it with rule of thumbs...
