1967 289 convertible or 1967 S Code 390 Coupe?
Which would you rather have, if both were automatic tranmission cars, both stock looks (no restomods)? What's more important, cruisin' or power? When answering this poll, consider that you could build the 289 to have approx 300 HP, but you really can't make the coupe a convertible....apples to apples on condition, both 8's out of 10, (11+ being concourse!!!)
I'm considering a trade for the 390..am I nuts?

The vert. I have a 67 289 convertible. I can throw a 390 in there no problem, but can you take that coupe and make it into a true vert easy? NO. NOW, if your talking about a 67 convertible with a 289 HIPO, then yes. Check out these values below. A S code car only adds $900 to the value of the car, while a 289 hipo adds 3500. A S code coupe is worth 21,000 in show quality. A convertible 67 is worth $30,000. the numbers dont lie.

assuming both are beautifully restored and look the same minus the obvious differences such as no roof....id say the coupe. A vert is just so like...application specific in my eyes....its for like keeping in the garage, taking to a show or driving in a planned out expedition to the beach or something....
the big block coupe i could see being more of a drivers car in that it has a roof which is generally useful, seems more aggressive and ready for action, as opposed to the passive and docile vert just looking to have a good cruise....plus it is an original big block car....
