Default T5 Conversion

Howdy
I would like to do the T5 conversion to my 200 ci 66 stang. Anyone know the cost to do it with a used tranny. What are the parts needed. How difficult is it for a couple of amatures to do.

Thanks

Default RE: T5 Conversion

well my first question is are u doing the conversion or some one else is doing for u?? the other thing is check out mustangsplus.com they do sell t-5 conversion kits and or parts....as for buying a new t-5 they would run around 2000 bucks i would look around for the 5.0. especially the svo's cuz they carried t-5's to buy one used would be around...like 500--800 in my area....but i would install it my self instead of some one doing it for u. besides is saves alot of money and you will know what u did....cuz if u let sum one else do it....and sumthing happens u wont know.....or what to do.. it is best u do it urself....thats why u know ur car and engine more ...well hopefully this would help u out..

They put them in SC t-brids too. Are you putting a t-5 on your I6? Sounds good to me. I went to JBA and got my kit. I then got a lakewood steel bellhousing.
