besides, who wants to drive around with 40 year old technology in the brakes, seat belts (if it has them) and other safety items?

okay well other than Glen, who would want to?

Ha, in another post I mention my friend ben and I put buckets in his 68 over the weekend. He made some comment like,"well these are safer you know". And I go well only if you mean getting rearended and not having whiplash, otherwise your lapbelts and solid column will be sure mutilate you.

Do you guys feel that putting in Recaro seats and 3-point belts"ruins" the character of the car?

I'm not even sure on the scale of "what is stock" and "what is mod "of where my new '66 repro Ralley-Pac fits in

Definately ruins the car, you can put in some nice stock looking seats with headrests and a 3 point belt that will be safe enough. Recaro only if its a pure track car. As with anything, there is a line of what is acceptable and what isnt, people have slightly different views on this but I think it can be agreed that bucket seats, wings, neon lights, chrome big rims and such things are over the line...

Yeah I sorta gotta disagree with you on the big chrome rims bein mods...

Their just rims....and as Glen said back awhile ago... they make your 'stang go from being grandma's grocery getter to a schweet hotrod.

Well I think you know where I stand on the subject, but will add that If I found a 1000% factory original rare CS or a Shelby, something like that (allready restored), Iwould probably leave it alone........ Maybe
