Default Wish me luck!!

Finally had time to start taking my engine compartment apart on my Mach...just did a few things to get it ready for a compression test before I start taking everything out. I finally get started only to be sidelined by the wifes 96 Taurus that needs struts [sm=boohoo.gif]The engine compartment is step one of my plan to clean the car up and take care of some details that bother me. Next winter will be the interior, and hopefully, within five years I will have enough money to media blast the whole thing, paint it, replace what needs replaced and then enjoy it! Here are some pics of my current nasty engine compartment...

Well, I wish I had the money to rebuild the engine but that is on the back burner. It is plenty strong for now and I plan on rebuilding it when I paint the car in the future. For now I am pulling the engine, cleaning everything up, change the seals, and fresh paint for the block, engine compartment and accessories. Its pretty much getting new everything; heater hoses, a/c hoses & fittings, vacuum hoses, clamps, belts, coil, voltage regulator, alternator & pulley, washer fluid hoses/reservoir, new engine bolt kit, carb rebuild and some other misc. items. I'mkeeping the same dizzy but installing a Pertronix electronic ignitor system in it and a new vacuum advance. I plan on keeping it as stock aspossible, other than the bolt kit which is a stainless steel torx socket head bolt kit.
