Default weiand 177

how come when ever i go to car shows or see classic stangs that are supercharged they are always centrifugal? (paxton novi 1200-1500 i beleive). I was doin some search for a roots type blower and found the weiand 177. i understand it needs more hood height, but i need a cowl hood ne way here is the link http://www.holley.com/77-174FSBP-1.asp but no price is listed, SO i went to jegs and searched for weiand 177, and a few results came up, this is what i got: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...9383_-1_379317 is this for ALL The parts or what? i think its probably just the acctual blower, not pulley/intake stuff. anyonhe have experience with weiand roots blowers?

Put this number into Summits search and check it out. Jegs probably sells the same thing and it includes the manifold, pullies, etc..WND-77-174FSB-1

if I had the cash, there would be one of these goin on my 84 F150 4x4.. instead I will just get a 4 barrel intake.

The thing I don't like about the Roots type blowers is they sit right on top of your heads and if something goes wrong (like it always does sooner or later) all that crap from the blower takes your motor out with it. I like the Paxton set-up. If it was good enough for CS...it's good enough for me.
