Default Has anyone had their frame checked?

I had a lot of welding done on my car including the entire front end. I was thinking of taking (towing) the chassis to a frame shop and have the frame (front end in particular) checked.

Have anyone else doen this, and how did it go?

Why do that when you can take a tape measure and do the exact same thing? Use the specs and measure.. Some of the specs may be out due to replacement parts, but as long as they are equal in dimensions (square) you should be fine.

+1 that is the best way to check the frnt end , just do a simpe x measurement and if you have a level floor do a height measurement, thats what most shops will do

I have a laser level, and I am going to also do a frame check myself via the plumb bob and layout method.

I just want to be sure, before I set the doors, fenders and hood before the final fill and block sand
