ORIGINAL: blue66coupe

but my main goal was to get something that was as close to factory original as possible.
The SSBC kit is about as close to factory as possible for all new parts. It uses SSBC 'clones' of the 4-piston Kelsey-Hayes Calipers and you can even order it with the original single reservoir master cylinder (don't do that ). It uses an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear instead of original cast/machined one. I've seen those original valves go for $200 used by themself.

If cost is important, the Granada kit Soaring mentioned is pretty tough to beat for all new parts. Besides that, brakes are pretty well hidden so I don't think people will really notice they are not original without getting under the car or popping the hood.

Thanks, Gothand. I guess what I really meant by "close to original" was that I didn't want to go overboard with some high-end big performance brake system (although I might if I had the $$$). So, either one of the suggestions- the SSBC or the CSRP systems would work fine. I'm just going for daily driver type stuff, but adding some "creature comforts", like possibly an AOD swap, since my C4 needs a rebuild anyway.

Bascially just want good working, safe brakes that don't "brake" the bank.....
