Default Antenna/Poor Reception

Hey Guys,
I am running a USA-66 with a Scott Drake Antenna in the city of Chicago and have little or no reception when I am in the city. Out in the suburbs it is tolerable, but as long as I am in the city I cannot listen to music.

Does anyone have any suggestions as how to boost signal or an antenna that would provide a better signal yet not be an eyesore?

Thanks in advance...

Make sure the antenna has a good ground, inside the fender. The nut that holds it up in the hole may not be enough. You need the car to actas a ground plane for proper reception, vital.
