Just bought a 1970 Mach 1 and driver side door you have to slam to get it shut - if window is ups all the way even harder. Car has been restored (new pans, frame rails etc.) but doors are original. Latch and striker look good. Door all appear to line up nice. Any suggestions?

Put some lube on the latch and striker and you may also need to adjust the striker. It could also be your hinge pins. That's a huge door and the hinge pins could very well be worn so when the door is open, its sagging so when you attempt to close/latch it, it has to run 'uphill' to catch.

somethings out of alinement in the door probably woren hinges or the striker isnt in the right spot
