Re check you fluid when at operating temps. I would do the trans X also. It can be purchased at Schucks.

It sounds like the seals are worn out in your C4 and a rebuild is in order. Try the additive first since that's the cheapest. You could also check for proper band adjustment (google c4 band adjustement for the procedure) Unfortunately,I think you're in for a rebuild ultimately.
