Default Fitch fuel catalyst

I was watching HotRod TV this morning and they were doing a dyno pull on a chevy motor. They also tested a device that allows you to run lower octane fuels in higher compression engines. This device also increases fuel mileage as well as horsepower. It installs like an inline filter. The device is called the Fitch Fuel catalyst. Does anyone have experience with this product? With the lower octane fuels out there it may be beneficial.

Ha ha...I was watching that too...To me it sounds just like an octane booster but I don't know much about it.

Since 1946 Popular Mechanics, and every other source an add can be bought in(Hot Rod TV)has promoted some "Wonder" product, promising all sorts of fuel advantages. Not one has been successfull.
Hmmmm, must be the Big Oil Industrial Complex thwarting the common man again.

Looks like Voodo to me. Have you tried the Acetone trick???

Well, it sounds like it MAY work...but it also sounds like a load of crap. I'm sure they're helping to sponsor HotRod TV, so of course they'll be obliged to give the product good reviews.

Personally, I'll stick to my 89 octane

You guys may be right but they say the dyno don't lie. As far as Acetone, that was our dirty little secret when I was a teen streetracing in SoCal.
