Default Chrome dipper .. ?

A buddy of mine recently built a 4 car garage to open a shop up. There isnt a chroming shop in town and we figure its a good starting point to keep the business coming in and getting the name out. Anyone know what this machine is called?

Thanks for any info.

The chroming business is pretty rough stuff. The chemical baths, evironmental guidelines, high quality level....
I'd pick another way to get your name out there.

I can only imagine getting customers for a rechroming shop is going to be hard and only get harder. Besides all the regulations you will have to follow there is also the problem with all the repop parts on the market. Its cheaper for us to buy new bumpers and other bright work for our cars than to have the sent off to get dipped. Repoped chrome is become more plentiful on the market for other cars as well, MOPAR fans who usually always had to go to a rechromer are finding new parts coming out all the time. Also a lesson I learned from my friend starting his own line-x(truck bed liner) shop. He had the market pretty cornered where he set up shop because there was no competition in the area but he has been struggling. What he did was corner himself. He figured out he needs to diversify a little, so he got a keystone account so he can sell car parts and aftermarket equipment and he is also expanding into electronics installation. Now he is on the rebound but only after diversifying his portfolio. It is very difficult to survive on one product now, especially one whose market is shrinking.
