I have a 71 mustang that had a 302 with a C4 tranny. Well to make a long story short the 302 was shot and i found a 351CJ. I have the C6 for the engine but i dont have the cash flow to fix it right at the moment and i need to get this car running. I was told the C4 wold bolt up to this engine with no mods and should work till i get the C6 fixed, is this true and how should i go about doing it.

They are both small blocks so they will physically bolt together.

Direct bolt up deal. You'll need to change the engine mounts though.
