though i've been lucky, i've heard on more then one occasion that MC's can be bad out of the box. Did you get good pressure when you bench bled the MC? If the MC primedproperly, then you obviously have a pocket of air in the system somewhere. It may take more then one time to clear the system. Though it's not needed, i've often gone through at least aquart of brake fluidcompletely clearing mysystem, and that's after the initial bleed. experience has told mea good bleed needs two people. i knew there was a reason i had kids. i've yet to find a gadget that does as good a job as thatextra person pumping the brakes. hire the neighbor kid for a few bucks.

I usually bleed in the same way. Vacuum out first, thenuse the old method, the ole "push the pedal and bleed" way.I think sometimes that a vacuum bleeder gets most of the air out, but often leaves a little in (high spots). It takes a little time tobuild the vacuum and the air will expand. When you presssurize the lines and suddenly releive the pressure by opening the bleeder, the air is compressed and forced more to move thru the line. Also, it will show any leaks that will not be shown when using a vacuum. If this doesn't work, then take a good look at the Master Cylinder.

It is not impossible to get a bad master cylinder from the factory. If all bleeding does not fix it - i would suspect it is a bad component.

One thing you might try is adjust your drum brake shoes to where there is some drag on the drums and then rebleed the brakes.I had a similer problem with my all drum brakes and that fixed the problem.

Good luck
