Alternatives to Air Shocks!?

Alternatives to Air Shocks!?
K so first of all I know its been FOREVER since I've posted here haha.
Car: 1965 Mustang
17 Inch American Racing Rims
Air Shocks
Nitto Tires
Just wanted to give some info before I described my problem. So i've had many problems with my air shocks. I know i dont have much room with my rims and tires but these shocks are terrible. I have to pump them up with air which is rediculous, and steep hills or angles are out of the question. Like last night i tried to go up a moderately steep hill and that didn't work. Tire caught metal and so my tire started to scrape. Their thick so no problem. Pumped up the air shocks a ton so i could clear the hill then just go back down lol. So I know the first time i posted this everyone agreed air shocks are a terrible invention from the 70's. I need an alternative ASAP. I remember last time someone posted up something from SEMA or something where everything fit just like it should. My car is definetly a restomod so I'm hoping for not too many things needed to be changed.
Please help!
Thanks

RE: Alternatives to Air Shocks!?
Air shocks are terrible for our cars, definitely not made for them. If they are in the back they can punch holes through the trunk floor which is usually bad. Go with KYB Gas-A-Just up front. I did and I love them so far. In the rear go with some more KYB or some people suggest for a softer ride some Monroes.
