car surging/jumping

RE: car surging/jumping
I replaced my carb a few weeks ago and I was having similar issues aswell, it was surging and even stalling in some cases. I replaced the injection nozzle from the new carb with the nozzle from my old carb and problem solved.

RE: car surging/jumping
My first thought was low fuel pressure resulting from a bad pump (diaphram shot, broken trigger arm, etc.) or restriction in the line. If fuel pressure is fine, could you have a motor mount problem? Is the engine literally moving around in the engine bay?
To check: With the hood up, put it in gear, hold the brake and rev the engine. If the engine lifts up too far on the mounts, the mounts are shot.

RE: car surging/jumping
ok its not a fuel problem in my opinion. the car rev and engine speed isnt alternating at all. theres no other way to explain in other than the whole clutch issue i was saying before. its either timing or transmission problem in my opinion, the engine is getting plenty of fuel, i put a new carb on already,
whenever i floor it out of a stand still its like im holding the clutch half in (its an automatic=no clutch) but whenever im cruising and floor it, it puts up excellently
