Default 65 shifter

do they make an aftermarket shifter like the hurst that does not have to stick up so far? i love the shifter but having the big black box under it is ugly.

Are we talking stick or auto?

I have the 4 speed Indy style Hurst and Like the look and the short throws, but I want to put a console in so it's going.

Big black box.....sound like after market rachet style shifter......where would you like the racheting mechanism to sit?
