Default wheel size and raising

A pair of two mickey thompsons with 2 crager rims were given to me for free. I wanted to see if they'd fit my 67' mustang. Also is there a way to raise the rear end so there is more clearance for the wheels? would that be a leaf spring swap in the back?

Anyways, the wheel size of the pair is 16 X 8 p255/50r16.

Cragers and a lifted back end. Old school, Eh!! To raise the back end you have basically 2 options. You can either go to a spring shop and have them re-arch your leaf springs, or you can use longer rear shackles.

You can also have add an additional leaf to the rear springs. I would not recommend using lifting shackles. They tend to make the car behave squirrely.

as for the 16 X 8 p255/50r16, they might work, if they have deep enough backspacing. I'd think you'd need at least 4.5"
