Default second gen. parts on older models

I was wondering what parts are interchangeable off the second generation mustangs (around 80-90s specifically) could be used on the older models. reason i ask is I saw someone parting out an 89 and ive been thinking about a disk brake conversion. would the rotors/spindles be usable on a 73?

Specific to your question, I don't think the disc brakes off that year will work on your 73. If you're wanting to go with bigger discs... check out MustangSteve.com

I wasn't able to use any brakes/suspension off the 89-93 series.

Yes the spindles wont work there a sturt mount no upper control arm.Only parts off the fox body that will work are engine tranny maybe the front seats.Mustangsteve is great if you have 17s for it if not http://www.discbrakeswap.com/ i wonder if the 71-73 drum and disc spindles are the same out not.
