Default 87 351 minsor to a 65

Will a 351w hook up to a 65 289 mustang automatic transmission.

What all will I need to put in that 351w in to my 65

Yes it will bolt up no problem

A shoe horn A 351 will drop in but it is a tight fit. shouldn't need any thing special to make it work.

65-66 you can fit anything smaller than a 351c. 289, 302, 351w, 351c and obviously all the 6 cylinders. 65-66 you can fit the 351w and 351c with headers for the swap

67-68 all the small block v8's and sixers plus now the big block, they shoehorned a 390 in in 67

69-70 can accept all small and big blocks with the right headers an mounts

71-73 fit all engines with ease, it was actualy designed for the 460 to drop in easily

This site is awsome some really good guys that are helpful. I can rebuild a jet engine in a 4 million dollar battle tank but can't tell you where the starter is on my mustang yet. I HAVE THE BOOKthough.

the headers are just routed differently for the application. like they might hug the block a bit more and snake around some linkage or something that is usually in the way

i would try the faq at the top for vendors, but just look at any site rlly
