Front fender doesnt line up
Well after welding on the rear quarter and lining up the door i cant get the front fender on the passengers side to line up. How can i correct this? i dropped the door completly down and it matched the contour lines of the front fender but the door sat righ on top of the rockerpanel and im convinced thats not the way its supposed to sit. So is it the front fender?

RE: Front fender doesnt line up
There is are a few little tricks you can do but it looks as though that door may be Taiwan? I had the same problem but it was my fenders that were repops. You can bump the fender up a hair by loosening your bolt inside the door jam and pushing up on the fender then tighten the bolt. You may have to loosen and tweak the bolts on the bottom of the fender as well. It may take two people. Hopefully you can do this without lifting the portion of the fender that runs parallel to the cowl. Sometimes you have to fudge things around and compromise, kinda like your quarter panel. The skin on the door may not be on correctly either. You may have to reposition it if you are all the way down on the rocker like you said. Another way is to remove metal from the bottom of the door and re-weld the seam.
