Default Decoding Problem

I was trying to decode my friend's 65 fastback on www.mustangdecoder.com and on the warranty # 5R09F178789shows the following

5 1965 (1964 1/2)
R an Jose
09 CODE NOT FOUND
F 260 2V V8
178789 unit #

My question is :

If 09 is the code for 2x2 fastback why is shoing "code not found"?

It is becausethe fastback was first introducedin 1965 and is showing 1965 1964 1/2 with a 260 engine the decoder do not recognize the bodie series 09??

I decoded before others fastbacks including my 66 and I never have this reading on 09 before.

Can anyone help

no such thing as a 64.5 fastback, although if its early enough you can have some cross over parts, ive got some 64.5 stuff on mine like the radiator support and interior door handles but its got the alt charging system and "A" code motor

rmodel65.. thank you for your reply, you are absolutely right no fastbacks on 64 1/2, but the first digit on the serial number is a 5 for 1965 and is no explanation for the decoder to show "code not found" for a 09 body series

I think its the engine code.
I am not aware of any fastbacks that came with the 260 V8.
If you put T, C, A, or K in there you'll get 09 showing fastback.

Are you sure its an "F" not a "T"???
Did you get the number from the door tag or fender?
