suspension and ride height/stance

suspension and ride height/stance
So the rear of my '66 convertible (289) is doing the usual sagging thing and is in need of the usual leaf spring replacement. Since the car is basically stock, the front end is very mushy as well and I am considering new coil springs and a bigger sway bar up front. I am going to replace the stock 14" rims and whitewalls with some 225/60/15 styled steel wheels with new rubber which should fill the wheel wells nicely. I want a nice stance. So with that in mind...
1. Do you recommend 4 leaf or 5 leaf springs? With stock height or 1" drop?
2. Stock coils, GT coils or 620 coils up front?
3. If 620 coils, does the 1" drop cause bumpsteer and would I then need a bumpsteer kit as well?
Pictures of your rides and their stance help a ton!
The car gets drive roughly 3,000 miles per year in town and out of town driving. Any pictures would help as well. Spring is around the corner and time to get the Stang out of hibernation!

RE: suspension and ride height/stance
Hi, 5leaf are considered very stiff springs. I have them on the back of mine and if I push down with all my might on the back of the car, I can barely move it. A 4leaf or 4.5leaf would offer a more comfortable ride, and had I known that before, I would have bought them instead.
Again, 620's are pretty stiff, and if you cut a coil to lower the car further to the desired height, they only get stiffer. I personally would buy GT's

+1 a vert will benefit from a more "comfortable" suspension.
check out ScottH's website. His vert is still a 6cyl but it would beat most cars on this site point to point (no...not in a straight line drag[8D])thru superior handling and brakes

Nice picture.
I can see the point about keeping a softer ride with a convertible. I just don't want to spend a bunch of money on new leafs and springs and then step back and realise the car looks like a jacked up 4x4! I also carry sometimes 4 passengers and don't want to scrape my x-pipe and flowmasters (no headers).

Here are some before and after pics of my suspension. Before it had a 4" drop shackle in the rear, or it would have been sagging BAD! I installed 620's in front and 4 leaf's in the rear. I have 14" wheels also.
