the tko i bought i had to go to the GM dealer and get there synchro something fluid.

TKO's are a little different; I believe T5's require ATF.

what year is the T5??? if it is an 85 or newer it uses ATF if it is older than 85 it uses GEAR OIL. I recommend a synthetic such as royal purple, that make an ATF like fluid for MANUAL transmission that use ATF. Has extra additives to prolong syncro life.
