Trans fluid change.

RE: Trans fluid change.
It's right at 2 gallons if you can manage to get the 3-4 quarts out of the Torque converter too. If your torque converter doesn't have a drail plug, one trick would be to drill a small hole in the TC, and do this very slowly to avoid getting metal flakes inside the TC, then after draining it, get an all-metal screw with a neoprene washer on it and plug the hole. Only use a screw just barely long enough to plug the hole.
When filling with Type F fluid, put in a gallon or so, then keep adding a quart at a time, while checking the dip stick beteen each quart addition. When it hits the full level, start the car and go through each gear slowly. Make sure the car is thoroughly warmed up, then check the fluid level again and add if necessary. What I would do, would be to install a drain plug on the pan so that you don't have to remove the pan and replace with a new gasket each time you change the fluid. Check your manual for how often you need to change it, but most are around every 30,000 miles. You can get these kits from most Mustang parts places.
