Burlap seat underlayment
I'm guessing this is a required item and shouldn't be skipped when doing seats. Correct? I stripped down 1 bucket and the rear seat last week and realized exactly what it was at that point. Unfortunately last month I ordered the interior from NPD and the guy on the phone said the Burlap set was NOT needed and wasn't needed except for concourse work.

RE: Burlap seat underlayment
I think the burlap between the seat cusion and springs/frame is just to protect the foam. I reused the old stuff in my pickup and I get little fibers all over the place since it has deteriorated. New burlap or even a veryheavy plastic should do fine.

Most foam (for the fronts) have some support built in to the bottoms. I found the burlap helps keep the springs in place while working and to support the foam, is only 7 bucks so i would not skimp. I screwed up one deat back so i decided to have a pro fix it and do the other, even they use it. Turned out GREAT

RE: Burlap seat underlayment
I just finished my seats and used burlap liner that I bought from Hobby Lobby for like $7. It was worth it; especially since I want my work to last for a while. After the hard work and labor it took to re-upholster the seats I am not looking forward to doing that again anytime soon.
