Default what i did today

we pulled out the carpet in my dads 66 and cut out the rusted section and welded in the new one. tonight we will lay the sound deadener and tomorrow we will fit the new carpet and put it back together. then it will be ready for hot august nights!!!! i cant wait! too bad my is FAR from done [>:]

brought back some memories from when i did mine not to long ago [X(] . boy what a pain.

before: the PO got some aircraft rubber/tar filler or something and laid it over the fist size hole in the floor. it was the hardest thing we've ever tried to remove [:@]

coming along great. Is that the only piece you are going to replace? On yours how much did you replace? I need to do that but I'm going to need the long piece from back to front. How much work/trouble is it? Thanks.

2. nic, just like mine, we are using the peel n seal rolls.

3. thanks valley about the weld comment. im still trying to figure out if its what i want to get into as a career cause i know theres a high demand for them right now and they get paid really well.
