Default Axle/Wheel Bearing replacement question

Hey guys I have been looking around the forum trying to find some info about these little guys.

What are the part number for them and are the 8" and 9" bearings the same?

I am doing the 9" rear swap in my 70 coupe but want to retain my 8" axles as the 9" housing I have did not come with them. Can I even reuse my 8" axles in my "new" housing?

You should be able to use the 28 spline 8" axles, given that the center section of the 9" housing you are using is a 28 spline carrier and given that the housing is from a Mustang. Some 9" housings use a larger axle bearing and some have a different retainer plate bolt pattern. The 8" and 9" 28 spline axle shafts are interchangeable.
Best,
Al

The 8" and small-bearing 9" housings use an RW207CC bearing, iirc. I don't recall what the large-bearing housings use.
